Open Question: what can I do when my employers refuses to issue a W2C?
about $10k in income from 2006 showed upon my 2007 W2. because I attained a lot more in 2007, I am taxed on the $10k at 28%, and would have been taxed at 15% if it had shown up in 2006. my employer refuses to change it because it is based on input from a vendor. the vendor refuses to change it because it considers any income after 16 Nov 2006 as 2007 income (which surely can’t be legal). anyway, I am out of pocket well over $1000 because of this mistake and no-one will help. what can I do other than make a complaint to the IRS?
