Open Question: harassment at work - how late is too late to press charges/file complaint with government for compensation?!?!
2 yrs ago I worked at a company where I was harassed by an employee, who would blow up on me for no reason and verbally abuse me, he would speak badly of the manager and cause endless disputes between workers.
After one of his rants against me I had a panic attack in the bathroom (he was VERY nasty), and I complained to my manager, she did nothing. I went over my manager’s head and complained to the district manager and they just gave this guy a slap on the wrist but they spent a lot of time sort of playing it down.
Anyway 3 weeks later they fired me and they would not wage me a reason when I was fired, and they forced me to sign the paperwork that let me go and just had me achievement out. I won an unemployment case against them and was ruled an unfit reason to fire
I later learned the guy was the company CEO’s nephew!!!
It’s 2 years passed, is it too late for me to do anything about it? I am very traumatized still by it. This is a multimillion dollar company.
what are my options?
