Open Question: Could I get unemployment with FMLA?
My job went and place me on FMLA.. I hurt my back and I didn’t file a report, which I know now I should have. I have been off over a month now.. The job took all my paid time off hours and gave them to me in a check, stating I had to use these hours because I didn’t have my doctors papers sent to them in time so they wouldn’t take my PTO, which I sent them the papers before a check was recieved.. I have no money at all coming in.. I am still in alot of pain and can’t work.. I am getting therapy for a herniated disc.. The job doesn’t even keep in touch with me at all to see if I’m dead or alive..
Could I sign up for unemployment due to this?
