Open Question: How much I have to pay in alimony taxes?
Me and my husband are divorcing. We agreed on $ 90.000 yearly alimony (him, paying me) but it turned out that i will receive after taxes and child support little over $ 40.000 a year. I don’t think his numbers are right. Can somebody tell me how much I have to pay in taxes on that amount and is it child support that i have to pay calculated before or after taxes? I live in Pinellas County, Florida.
