Financial questions that need an answer

I’ve had 2 previous loans for cars - 1 I paid out primeval and the other I’m currently paying out now. Whenever I’ve gone for loans I’ve always had my Mum there to suss out interest rates etc, and go through the fineprint with me. This time, I’m getting a loan in secret to cover some debt she doesn’t know about. What questions should I ask the bank? Should I go secured or unsecured loan (I only have a car, which they still own so I don’t know how that would work!)? What do I need to know? Any help would be appreciated!!!
